Ayush Ministry launches “AYUSH AAPKE DWAR” Campaign   

Ayush Ministry launched the campaign “AYUSH AAPKE DWAR” from more than 45 locations across the country. Union Minister of State, for Ayush Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai launched the campaign from Ayush Bhawan by distributing medicinal plants to staff.

2 lakh medicinal plant saplings from 44 locations of 21 states to be distributed during launch ceremonies.


India, US sign Project Agreement for Air-Launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle 

India and US signed a Project Agreement (PA) for Air-Launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (ALUAV) under the Joint Working Group Air Systems in the Defence Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI).

Aims

Ladakh Administration sign MoU with BRO for upgradation of road network in UT 

Ladakh Administration signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Border Roads Organisation (BRO) for upgradation and improvement of the road network in the union territory. Ladakh has assigned seven projects to BRO considering their expertise in hilly areas to construct tunnels and roads.


28th edition of Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise ‘SIMBEX’ held from 02 to 04 Sep 2021 

The 28th edition of Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) was conducted from 02 to 04 Sep 21.

Indian Navy 

The Indian Navy was represented by Guided Missile Destroyer INS Ranvijay with a ship borne helicopter, ASW Corvette INS Kiltan and Guided Missile Corvette INS Kora and one P8I Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft.

Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) 

Participants from the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) included one Formidable Class Frigate, RSS Steadfast, embarked with an S-70B naval helicopter, one Victory Class Missile Corvette, RSS Vigour, one Archer Class Submarine and one Fokker-50 Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Four F-16 fighter aircraft of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) also participated in the exercise during the Air Defence Drills.


APEDA inks MoUs with ICAR-Indian Institute of Millet Research 

Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICAR-Indian Institute of Millet Research (ICAR-IIMR) which is expected to boost value addition and farmers’ income.

The key focus of the MoU would be to promote commercial cultivation of processable varieties developed by ICAR-IIMR for exports which is expected to promote value addition of millets, a cereal with high nutritive value.

Objective

The objective of the MoU is to build the export centric ecosystem with the requisite supply chain linkages, technological repository, clinical studies, awareness creation, policy changes and pipeline of entrepreneurs.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 67.72 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 97.43% 

With the administration of 58,85,687vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 67.72Cr (67,72,11,205) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

The recovery of 36,385 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,21,00,001.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.43%. 42,618 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.50%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 5% for 89 consecutive days now.
