1. President Ram Nath Kovind Presents Padma Awards for the Year 2021

The President of India Ram Nath Kovind presented Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri Awards for the year 2021, this morning (November 9, 2021) at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-I held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah.

2. DRDO & Directorate of Defence R&D, Israel sign Bilateral Innovation Agreement for development of dual use technologies

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Directorate of Defence Research and Development (DDR&D), Ministry of Defence, Israel signed a Bilateral Innovation Agreement (BIA) to promote innovation and accelerated R&D in startups and MSMEs of both countries for the development of dual use technologies.
Under the agreement, startups and industry of both countries will work together to bring out next generation technologies and products in the areas such as Drones, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum technology, Photonics, Biosensing, Brain-Machine Interface, Energy Storage, Wearable Devices, Natural Language Processing, etc.

3. India poised to achieve Services Export target of $1 Trillion by 2030: Piyush Goyal

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles Piyush Goyal said that India is poised to achieve services export target of $1 trn by 2030.
He was addressing the gathering at the 'Services Export Promotion Council- Global Services Conclave 2021” in New Delhi.

4. Indian Army signs MoU with Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and GEO-Informatics (BISAG-N)

The Indian Army has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics (BISAG-N), Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The MoU will leverage the relative advantage of BISAG-N to support training and evolving innovative solutions to boost operational capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.

5. Indian Army signs MoU with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU)

Indian Army signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) to synergise innovations, research, technology incubation, joint projects, publication & patents, training, higher learning and distance education in the Army.

6. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 109.08 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.25%

With the administration of 59,08,440 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 109.08 Cr (1,09,08,16,356) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
The recovery of 11,982 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,37,75,086.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.25%. 10,126 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
