COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 12 to 14 years to begin today    

COVID-19 vaccination for children in the age group of 12 to 14 years will begin today on the occasion of National Vaccination Day. Corbevax vaccine will be administered which is manufactured by Biological E. Limited, Hyderabad.

This can be through online registration beginning at 9 AM or through an onsite walk-in. People above 60 years of age are eligible for Precaution Dose from today, as the condition of comorbidity for this age group has been removed.


AJ-NIFM & JNU sign MoU for award of MBA degree in Finance and Financial Management

Nitin Gadkari to inaugurate pilot project for Hydrogen based advanced Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) 

India is committed to a cleaner energy and low-carbon pathway for achieving accelerated economic growth. Hydrogen is a key element of the energy strategy and would play a key role in the low carbon energy pathways.

Background

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. along with International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT) are conducting a Pilot project to study and evaluate the world’s most advanced Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Toyota Mirai which runs on hydrogen, on Indian roads and climatic conditions.

This would be a first of its kind project in the country aimed at spreading awareness about Hydrogen, FCEV technology and disseminating its benefits to support hydrogen-based society for India.

Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari would be inaugurating this pilot project and also demonstrating Toyota Mirai FCEV.

India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 180.60 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.72%

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 180.60 Cr (1,80,60,93,107) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. India’s Active Caseload has declined to 32,811 today. Active cases constitute 0.08% of the country's total Positive Cases.

2,876 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.72%. 3,884 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,24,50,055.

The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 0.44% and the Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 0.38%.
