1. India overshoots export target; achieves USD 417.8 billion exports in FY - 2021-22
  • Merchandise exports from India have reached USD 417.8 billion in the current financial year. This figure excludes the figures from non-EDI Ports and adding that, it is likely to exceed $418 billion, an all-time high in India’s export history.


2. I&B Minister Anurag Singh Thakur launches Broadcast Seva Portal
  • Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur today launched the Broadcast Seva Portal in New Delhi.
  • The portal will provide a single point facility to the stakeholders to request for required permission, registrations and licences.


3. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, flags off Indian Red Cross Society Ambulances
  • Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, and Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare today flagged off 33 Ambulances (13 Advanced Life Support Ambulances and 20 Basic Life Support Ambulances) from Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.

5. India Nepal sign four MoUs during PM Sher Bahadur Deuba visit in New Delhi
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation-level talks with his Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in New Delhi.
  • During this, both the leaders reviewed the progress in partnership between the two countries and discussed ways to further the India-Nepal cooperation agenda. After that four MoUs were signed in the presence of both Prime Ministers.

  • India and Australia signed an Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) to double bilateral trade in 5 years.
  • The agreement was signed by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Trade, Tourism and Investment Minister of Australia Dan Tehan in a virtual ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison.

  • The six RMs have been developed in less than a year by NDTL in association with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)-Guwahati and the CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu.

15. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 184.70 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.76%
  • India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 184.70 Cr (1,84,70,83,279) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
  • COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 1.86 Cr (1,86,39,260) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
  • India’s daily new cases reported today (913) have also declined below 1,000 mark after 715 days. Daily new COVID cases were 991 on 18th April 2020. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76%.
