FIFA World Cup 2022: Argentina won the FIFA World Cup Football title for the third time, after beating defending Champion France 4-2 on penalties following a dramatic 3-3 draw in extra time in one of the most thrilling finals at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar.

Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick for France, while Argentina captain Lionel Messi scored a brace and Angel di Maria netted one goal for Argentina.

Argentina has been successful in winning the FIFA World Cup after 36 years. Earlier in 1978 and 1986, Argentina had won the titles.   

Golden Ball award and Golden Boot for the best player at the FIFA World Cup 2022

Argentina captain Lionel Messi clinched the Golden Ball award for the best player at the FIFA World Cup 2022 while Kylian Mbappe from France took the golden boot for being the top goal-scorer and Argentina's Emiliano Martinez won the Golden Glove for being the best goalkeeper.
