Justice Alok Aradhe takes oath as Chief Justice of Telangana HC

Justice Alok Aradhe appointed as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court: Justice Alok Aradhe has taken oath as the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court. The swearing-in ceremony of Justice Aradhe was held at the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to the new Chief Justice Alok in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Justice Alok Aradhe replaced Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, who has been elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court of India. Earlier, Justice Alok Aradhe served as Judge in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh High Courts.

About Justice Alok Aradhe

Alok Aradhe was born on 13 April 1964 in Raipur. He holds B.Sc and LLB degrees and enrolled as an Advocate on 12 July 1988. Designated as Senior Advocate in April 2007.

He revised the 5th and 6th Editions of Principles of Administrative Law by M.P. Jain and S.N. Jain with Late Justice G.P. Singh, Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. He Was Visiting Faculty in Judicial Officers Training and Research Institute to address Judicial officers on various issues.

Alok Aradhe was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on December 29, 2009 and Permanent Judge on February 15th, 2011.

Alok was transferred to the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir on 16 September 2016 and took the oath of office on 20 September 2016. He was nominated as Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir State Judicial Academy in June 2017. Justice Alok was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and served as such till 10.08.2018.

Aradhe was nominated as the Executive Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir State Legal Services Authority in September 2018.

Aradhe was transferred to the Karnataka High Court and took oath as a Judge of the Karnataka High Court on 17.11.2018 and assumed charge as the Acting Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court on 03.07.2022.
