Nitish Kumar takes oath as Bihar Chief Minister for 9th time
Bihar Politics Updates: JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar takes oath of office and secrecy as Chief Minister of Bihar for a record ninth time.
Governor Rajendra Vishwanat Arlekar administered the oath of office and secrecy to JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar as the 22nd Chief Minister of Bihar.
Along with Nitish Kumar, eight other cabinet ministers also took oath at Raj Bhavan. Which includes three from BJP and three from JD(U). Apart from this, one member of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and one independent member also took oath.
During the swearing-in ceremony, BJP leaders Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.
Bihar Cabinet Minister 2024
From BJP's side, Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha and Prem Kumar have been included in the cabinet of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Whereas senior JDU leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Shravan Kumar have got place in the new cabinet of Bihar.
Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's son and HAM president Santosh Kumar Suman and an independent candidate have also been inducted as ministers.(inp:newsOnair)
