Air Chief Marshal AP Singh becomes the new Indian Air Force Chief
Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal AP Singh has been appointed as the new Chief of The Air Staff (CAS). Amar Preet Singh replaced Chief of the Indian Air Force Vivek Ram Choudhary, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC, who was retired on September 30, 2024.

About Air Chief Marshal AP Singh
Born on October 27, 1964, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal AP Singh was commissioned into the fighter pilot stream of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in 21 December 1984.
He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College.
Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh is a Qualified Flying Instructor and an Experimental Test Pilot with more than 5000 hours of service flying on a variety of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.

As a test pilot, he led the Mig 29 Upgrade Project Management Team at Moscow, Russia. He was also the Project Director (Flight Test) at National Flight Test Centre looking after flight testing of Tejas
