IAS Vikram Dev Dutt Appointed As Coal Secretary
IAS Vikram Dev Dutt has been appointed as the new Coal Secretary in the Ministry of Coal. He is a 1993-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre.

Vikram Dev Dutt took over as new Coal Secretary at Ministry of Coal Headquarters (Shastri Bhawan, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road), New Delhi on 21st October 2024.

About Coal Secretary Vikram Dev Dutt, IAS
Dutt succeeds VL Kantha Rao, who currently serves as the Secretary of the Ministry of Mines and holds additional charge of the Ministry of Coal. Prior to Rao, Amrit Lal Meena served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Coal.
Vikram Dutt previously served as the Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
