India and Laos signed six MoUs and agreements in the fields including defence cooperation, customs, Culture and Tourism, audio-visual, and preservation of heritage. This agreement between the two countries was signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to Vientiane, Lao PDR.

India, Laos sign 6 MoUs: The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Lao PDR. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith held bilateral meeting in Vientiane. During meeting India and Laos signed 6 MoUs/Agreements.

With this, PM Narendra Modi attended the 19th East Asia Summit (EAS) on 11 October 2024 in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
India and Laos Sign 6 Agreements
The six MoUs/Agreements, including on defence cooperation, customs, Culture and Tourism, audio-visual, and preservation of heritage were exchanged following the talks between India and Laos. India also announced a project to improve nutrition security in Lao PDR through food fortification with assistance of about USD 1 million through the India-UN Development Partnership Fund.
