The fifth edition of the India-Indonesia joint bilateral maritime exercise Samudra Shakti – 2025 will be held in Visakhapatnam from 14th to 17th October 2025.

Participating Units of Exercise Samudra Shakti 2025
The units participating in the India-Indonesia Exercise ‘Samudra Shakti’ 2025 include INS Kavaratti, an anti-submarine warfare corvette of the Eastern Fleet under the aegis of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) and Indonesian Navy ship KRI John Lye, a corvette (with an integral helicopter).

Phases of Exercise Samudra Shakti 2025
Exercise Samudra Shakti 2025 is being conducted in two phases (harbour and sea) between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy.
Harbour Phase of Exercise Samudra Shakti 2025
The harbour phase of Indo-Indonesian Naval Exercise Samudra Shakti 2025 features a range of activities aimed at building camaraderie and professional rapport that include Cross Deck Visits, Joint Yoga sessions, Friendly Sports fixtures, Professional Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE).

Sea Phase of Exercise Samudra Shakti 2025
The Sea Phase of India-Indonesia bilateral maritime exercise Samudra Shakti 2025 will involve dynamic and complex maritime operations aimed at increasing tactical coordination, including Helicopter Operations, Air Defence Exercises, Weapon Firing Drills, Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) exercises.
