1. Two-day National Workshop on Preparedness for Heat Wave concludes in Bengaluru

The two-day National Workshop on Preparedness, Mitigation and Management of Heat wave concluded successfully in Bengaluru with all stakeholders resolving to work towards reducing the adverse effects of Heat Wave in 2020.
The workshop was organised by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka.

2. Dharmendra Pradhan chairs First Meeting of Consultative Committee of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas

Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel Dharmendra Pradhan chaired the first meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Members of Parliament (MPs) of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas on 5 December 2019.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and External Affairs V. Muraleedharan, 19 MPs from Lok Sabha and 8 MPs from Raj Sabha. Secretary (Petroleum & NG), other senior officials of the Ministry and CMDs of Indian oil & Gas PSUs were present during the meeting.

3. 15 days Aadi Mahotsav at Dilli Haat, INA registers record sale of Rs.20 crore

The National Aadi Mahotsav held at Dilli Haat, INA in New Delhi from 16th to 30th November, 2019 has registered record footfall and sales.
The Mahotsav was a roaring success and in the course of 15 days, the participating 500 plus tribal artisans transacted business of worth Rs.20 Crore. Another 500 plus tribal artists mesmerized the visitors with their cultural performances.

4. PM Narendra Modi meets PM of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth in New Delhi. Prime Minister Jugnauth accompanied by his spouse, Mrs Kobita Jugnauth is on a private visit to India.
Both leaders agreed to work closely to build upon the close multifaceted bilateral relations and to explore new avenues of engagement, based on mutual interest and priorities.

5. Massive campaign launched by Ministry of Defence against single use plastic

Ministry of Defence is organising a massive plugging programme at more than 400 locations throughout the country tomorrow as part of the activities of Swachhta Pakhwada. All the three services, various other defence establishments have chalked out detailed programmes to be held at different locations.
Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will flag off the main event from Delhi Cantt at 1230 Hrs on December 07, where around 3,000 people are expected to join and collect waste plastic and participate in other Swachata related activities.
