Tokyo Olympics 2020: The Indian men's hockey team created history at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by defeating Germany 5-4 to clinch the bronze medal. The Indian Hockey team has won a medal in the Olympics after 41 years.

After falling 1-3 in the match against Germany, the Indian hockey team made a strong comeback and won the match 5-4.

This is the third bronze medal for the Indian men's hockey team in Olympic history. Earlier Indian Men's Hockey Team had won bronze medals in 1968 and 1972. India has also won eight Gold Medals (1928, 1932, 1936, 1948, 1952, 1956, 1964, 1980) and one Silver Medal (1960) in the past.
