Noted Odia litterateur Manorama Mohapatra passes away at 87   

Noted Odisha litterateur and journalist Manorama Mohapatra passed away. She was 87 years old.

Manorama Mohapatra was honored with many honors for her work like Sahitya Akademi Award in 1984, Soviet Nehru Award in 1988, Critics Circle of India Award in 1990, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Award in 1991 and Rupbar Award in 1994.


Meghalaya Govt launched Meghalaya Enterprise Architecture Project (MeghEA) to improve governance and service delivery at the grassroots level   

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Electronics & Information Technology and CM Meghalaya Conrad Kongkal Sangma, jointly launched Meghalaya Enterprise Architecture Project (MeghEA).

The MeghEA initiative is spread across 6 pillars i.e. Governance, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Primary Sector, Infrastructure and Environment, and envision to make Meghalaya a high income state by 2030.

The project aims to improve service delivery and governance for the people using the power of Digital technologies.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage crosses the landmark of 80 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 97.68%

With the administration of 85,42,732 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the landmark figure of 80 Cr (80,43,72,331) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.68%. 30,773 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.04% remains less than 3% for the last 86 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 1.97%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for the last 20 days and below 5% for 103 consecutive days now.
