Cabinet approves MoU between India and Nepal on biodiversity conservation: The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for signing an MoU with the Government of Nepal on biodiversity conservation, with a view to strengthen and enhance the coordination and cooperation in the field of forests, wildlife, environment, biodiversity conservation and climate change, including restoration of corridors and interlinking areas and share knowledge and best practices, between the two countries.....Read More

HM Amit Shah to launch 'CAPF eAwas' web-portal in New Delhi 

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will launch the “CAPF eAwas” web-portal in New Delhi on 1st September 2022.

CAPF eAwas portal, which has been developed on the lines of the online allotment system of ‘General Pool Residential Accommodation (eSampada)’, will facilitate maintenance of an accurate inventory of ‘Residential Quarters/Separated Family Accommodation (SFA)’ held by CAPFs, as well as their allotment through online process to eligible Force personnel. The portal also has the provision for intimation to the applicant thru SMS and email at various stages of the allotment process.

The portal would also facilitate planning for construction of new quarters based on demand-gap analysis.


PM Modi Modi to inaugurate State S&T Ministers’ Conclave at Science City, Ahmedabad on 10th Sep 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 2- day Science Conclave of the Science & Technology (S&T) Ministers from all the States and Union Territories (UTs) at Science City, Ahmedabad on 10th September, 2022.

Participate by

Science & Technology Ministers of all 28 States, Administrators of 8 UTs, key officials from States – Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries in-charge of S&T in the states and all Science Secretaries to Government of India and CEOs of over 100 Start Ups and industries are expected to take part in the two-day Science Conclave.


Govt released Grant-in-aid of Rs. 4,189.58 crore to Rural Local Bodies of 5 states 

The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, on Wednesday released an amount of Rs. 4,189.58 crore to Karnataka (Rs. 628.07 crore), Tripura (Rs. 44.10 crore), Uttar Pradesh (Rs. 2239.80 crore), Andhra Pradesh (Rs. 569.01 crore) and Gujarat (Rs. 708.60 crore) for providing grants to the Rural Local Bodies.

This Grant-in-aid is the 1st installment of Tied grants of the year 2022-23 released in favour of Karnataka, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and 2nd installment of Tied grants of the year 2021-22 released in favour of Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 212.39 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.67%

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 212.39 Cr (2,12,39,92,816) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 4.03 Cr (4,03,22,642) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the COVID-19 precaution dose administration for age group 18-59 years also started from 10th April, 2022 onwards.

India’s Active Caseload currently stands at 64,667. Active cases now constitute 0.15% of the country's total Positive Cases. 7,231 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.67%. 10,828 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,38,35,852.

The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 2.55% and the Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 2.05%.
