Union Cabinet reshuffle: Arjun Ram Meghwal appointed as new Law Minister

Arjun Ram Meghwal appointed as new Law Minister: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal has been given the charge of Law Ministry in addition to his existing portfolios.

Meghwal replaces Union Minister Kiren Rijiju who has now been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

President Droupadi Murmu has given permission to reshuffle the ministries on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to the press release the charge of the Ministry of Earth Sciences has been given to Kiren Rijiju. While Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal was assigned the independent charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice in addition to his existing portfolios.

Other than this, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel has been assigned as Minister of State in the Health and Family Welfare Ministry.
