Justice Vijay Bishnoi sworn in as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court

Justice Vijay Bishnoi was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court. Governor Gulab Chand Kataria administered the oath of office to Vijay Bishnoi as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court.

Justice Vijay Bishnoi appointed as Chief Justice of Gauhati HC

Justice Vijay Bishnoi has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court. Before this appointment, Justice Vijay Bishnoi was serving as a judge of the Rajasthan High Court.

The Center issued a notification appointing Justice Vijay Bishnoi as the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court. The notification issued by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice said.

"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Judge of the Rajasthan High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office."

Justice Vijay Bishnoi

Justice Bishnoi was appointed as a judge of the Rajasthan High Court in January 2013. Before being elevated as a judge, Bishnoi served in the Rajasthan High Court and the Central Administrative Tribunal in Jodhpur.
