Reserve Bank set to conduct Financial Literacy Week (FLW) 2020 from February 10–14

India’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is going to conduct the Financial Literacy Week (FLW) 2020 to propagate financial education messages on a particular theme across the country from February 10 – February 14, 2020.

The theme selected for current year FLW is “Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The main objective of MSME theme will be on creating awareness about aspects relating to formalisation, collateral free loan, discounting of receivables, rehabilitation of stressed units and timely repayment.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao flagged off of the metro train on Green Line stretch from Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) to Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS), connecting the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and the stretch covering of 11-kms (Kilometers), Hyderabad Metro Rail has become the second largest metro rail network in the country after Delhi.

Indian Railways sign MoU with Department for International Development, UK

Indian Railways sign MoU with Department for International Development, UK. The area of co-operation of this MoU envisages to enable energy efficiency and energy self-sufficiency for Indian Railway.

The MoU will benefit Indian Railway in the field of energy planning, renewable energy planning and deployment including offshore wind and solar energy, energy storage, new energy technologies and off-grid renewable energy services.

There is no such proposal for giving renewable energy projects to the private sector or public sector under this MoU at this stage.
