India, Egypt sign MoU to exchange programmes for TV and Radio
India and Egypt signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate content exchange, capacity building, and Co-Productions between Prasar Bharati and National Media Authority of Egypt.

The MoU was signed by Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Youth affairs and Sportsand Sameh Hassan Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Government of Egypt.
Key Highlights
The MOU is part of the efforts by Prasar Bharati to expand the reach of DD India Channel to show-case the country’s progress through programs focussed on economy, technology, social development and also the rich cultural heritage.
Under the ambit of this MoU, both the broadcasters will exchange their programs of different genres like Sports, News, Culture, Entertainment and many more areas on bilateral basis and these programs will be telecast on their Radio and Television platforms.
The India and Egypt MOU which will be valid for three years will also facilitate co-productions and training of the officials of both the broadcasters in the latest technologies.....Read More

Visakhapatnam railway station receives Green Railway Station Certification
Visakhapatnam railway station of East Coast Railway has been awarded the ‘Green Railway Station Certification with highest rating of Platinum' by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for adopting green concepts thereby reducing the adverse environmental impact.
Visakhapatnam is one of the few railway stations to get this prestigious certificate. Visakhapatnam secured 82 out of 100 points in six environmental categories.
The Environment Directorate of Indian Railways, with the support of the IGBC, has developed the Green Railway Station rating system.

The President of India has approved the conferment of Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards – 2022 on 43 persons which includes Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak to 07, Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak to 08 and Jeevan Raksha Padak to 28 persons. Four awardees are posthumous.

A total of 901 Police personnel have been awarded Police Medals on the occasion of the Republic Day, 2023. The Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) has been awarded to 140, the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM) to 93 and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PM) has been awarded to 668.
India elected as Vice-Chair at 12th session of FAO’s Intergovernmental Technical Working Group (ITWG)
In the recently concluded 12th Session of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group (ITWG) on Animal Genetic Resources (AnGR) at Rome during 18 -20 January 2023, India was elected as Vice-Chair and represented the Asia & Pacific region. Dr B N Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Sciences), ICAR, and the National Coordinator, vice-chaired the Session and also acted as Rapporteur.
The Working Group, established by the FAO’s Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (CGRFA), functions to review technical issues, advise and make recommendations to the Commission and further implement the Commission's programme related to AnGR at global level.

Govt approves proposal for sale of 30 LMT of wheat
The Food Corporation of India (FCI) will off load 30 LMT wheat from the Central pool stock to the market through various routes under the Open Market Sale Scheme (Domestic).
Offloading 30 LMT wheat in the market through OMSS (D) scheme within a span of two months through multiple channels will have wider reach as well as immediate impact on the soaring Wheat and Atta prices and will help contain the rising prices and will bring much relief to the common man.
