Indian Navy's INS Satpura and P8I participate in RIMPAC Exercise 2022
Indian Navy's indigenous Frigate INS Satpura and P8I LRMRASW aircraft are at Pearl Harbour in Hawaii taking part in one of the largest multilateral Naval Exercises, the Rim of the Pacific exercise, also known as RIMPAC 2022. While Satpura reached Hawaii on 27 Jun 22, the P8I aircraft arrived on 02 Jul 22.

Indian Navy's P8I LRMRASW aircraft arrived at AFB Hickam, Joint Base Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, USA to participate in the 28th edition of the biennial Rim of Pacific (RIMPAC-22), the world's largest international maritime exercise.
EC issues notification for filing nomination for 16th Vice-Presidential Election 2022
The Election Commission has issued the notification for filing the nomination for the 16th Vice-Presidential election 2022. Nominations can be filed till 19th of July. Vice-Presidential Election will be held on 6th of August.

Sweden and Finland sign accession protocols with NATO group
Sweden and Finland signed the Accession Protocols at the NATO Headquarters. The signing was held in the presence of Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto and Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde.
The 30-member NATO group seeks to promote collective security among its members. The collective defense principle laid out in the NATO charter states that an armed attack against any of its members is considered an attack against them all.

India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 198.20 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.53%
India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 198.20 Cr (1,98,20,86,763) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 3.70 Cr (3,70,80,378) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the COVID-19 precaution dose administration for age group 18-59 years also started from 10th April, 2022 onwards.
India’s Active Caseload currently stands at 1,15,212. Active cases now constitute 0.26% of the country's total Positive Cases. 16,159 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.53%. 15,394 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,29,07,327.
The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 3.84% and the Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 3.56%.
